Em and Jay, respectively a film director and her lead actress, both with an ailing career, embark on a journey between Montreal, Quebec, and Durham, North Carolina, where they have a short film showing at a gay and lesbian film festival.
They drive a Jeep and pull a pop tent, decide to shoot a movie along the way and develop a beautiful friendship.
TWO STRAIGHT GIRLS AT A QUEER FEST is a bit like THELMA & LOUISE meets SEINFELD.
It also tackles the subject of mental health while playing on the boundaries of truth and falsehood.
